A superb 18th century Spanish colonial arcon -- covered over ever inch in elaborately tooled and embossed leather. The front panel features a magnificent eight inch diameter hand forged iron lock-plate and hasp surrounded by hand tooled avian and foliate patterns. The side and back panels mimic the same iconography represented on the front panel. The leather is rich with character, color and surface patina.
