A good mid 19th century hand painted Spanish 'alacena' with latticed doors over raised panels, all raised on shoe feet. Circa 1850.
The 'alacena', for those unfamiliar, is a type of traditional Spanish food pantry with a latticed grill for ventilation. The etymology of 'alacena' is derived from 'a la cena', which translates 'to dinner'.
