A fine early 19th century oil on canvas painting - San Luis Gonzaga, patron saint of youthful students, the blind and AIDS patients. San Aloysius is represented here with all of his attributes, a skull, a scourge and a book - symbols of mortality and wisdom. Displayed in a handsome gilt-wood frame.
Dimensions: 30 inches x 22.5 inches, plus frame.
Overall condition is excellent. Original canvas and stretchers.
