Nuestra Señora de San Juan de los Lagos, framed by a radiant gold halo with a white crescent moon underfoot, is depicted in this colorful 19th century Mexican folk retablo. The retablo is displayed inside a wonderful 19th century hand painted tin nicho with a narrow front opening and sliding tray for alms donations.
Dimensions: Nicho measures 17 inches x 11 inches. Retablo measures 10 inches vertical x 7 inches horizontal.
Condition: in overall excellent condition with only minor paint loss.
