This charming early 19th century Spanish colonial oil painting on canvas represents the Santo Nino de Jesus enveloped by the 'Sagrado Corazon' or the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, a symbol for his divine love of humanity. The peripheral icons represent 'The Instruments of the Passion', allegorical images for the objects used in Christ's arrest, trial and Crucifixion. Displayed in a handsome walnut frame.
Dimensions: sight: 32 inches vertical x 23.5 inches horizontal. Frame measures 35.5 inches x 27 inches.
