A fine early 20th century hand woven flat-weave kilim made by the nomadic Qashqai tribal people of Southwest Persia. The primary design elements unclude scorpions, star patterns and a hooked border, important symbols offering protection against the curse of the evil eye, natural disasters and dangerous animals. All natural colors with a very unusual all natural white field.
