Extremely fine and rare early 19th century Persian (Turkish) flintlock pistol with various maker's marks in Arabic. Beautiful hand chased and engraved lock-plate. The stock with vertical bands of intricate silver inlay together with brass, bone and onyx decorations on the ball butt. The barrel chiseled and inlaid with brass and silver. Overall with incredibly rich and lustrous surface patina. French made for the Turkish market. Circa 1800.
Displayed on a high quality custom made display stand in clear 'A' grade teak wood sealed with a walnut colored finish.
Dimensions: Pistol measures 20 inches long. Display stand measures 21 inches long. Overall height on display stand is approximately 6 inches.
In overal excellent condition with only very minor loss.
