This vintage ceremonial mask from Mexico, while reminiscent of the Mayo Pascola and Yaqui masks of Sonora, is admittedly, somewhat of an enigma. Like the aforesaid masks from Sonora, this mask is also composed of cottonwood with horsehair plugs and a hand stitched maguey fiber cord.. Circa 1970's.
Dimensions: not including beard, the mask measures 10 inches x 7 inches x 4.5 inches.
Condition: in overall excellent condition.
