A good early 20th century ceremonial dance mask from Guerrero - circa 1940. Though somewhat of an enigma this character is likely a 'cacique' (chieftain) with colorful headdress. Hand painted cedar with excellent wear and surface patina.
** Smaller masks shown for scale.
Dimensions: approximately 11.5 inches long.
Condition notes: wear commensurate with use and age.
