El Señor de los Trabajos Retablo
The Lord of Labor, protector of workers, is petitioned by those seeking jobs. The miraculous icon was apparently inherited from the great grandmother of Hortensia Julieta Gomez Ramirez in San Luis Potosi more than 100 years ago and has remained in the family ever since. Each week however, beginning the Saturday before Palm Sunday, the altar at the Temple of Santo Domingo is prepared and a special mass is held in his honor. Circa 1880.
Dimensions: 14 inches x 10 inches.
Condition notes: in overall good condition.
