This early to mid 20th century ex-voto painting, illustrated in Saint's and Sinners (page 157), is dedicated to The Virgin of San Juan de los Lagos. According to the narrative, Ernestor Enriques was cruelly beaten by a police officer who left him nearly dead for no reason. His grandmother, La Sra Aleja Enriquez, petitioned the Virgin of San Juan de los Lagos and he was saved. Oil on tin.
