This graphic early 20th century ex-voto is dedicated to La Virgen de San Juan. According to the written narrative, Florentino Marquez and Maria Cruz Granado were in danger of losing their lives, when they were suddenly found by a group of escort soldiers. They invoked the divine image and were saved from the dangerous situation. In honor of this miracle, Maria Cruz Granado presented this retablo in 1922.
Dimensions: 14 inches horizontal x 10 inches vertical.
Condition: in excellent, original condition with only minor paint loss.
