This mid century ex-voto from Mexico is dedicated to the Santo Nino de Atocha - shown in upper right. Although the text is mostly illegible, the author of this painting made it abundantly clear that the petitioner, Narciso Aguilar, was thrown from a bus. He appears to defy gravity as he takes flight behind the overturned bus. In honor of this great miracle this retablo was presented in January of 1958.
