This rare 19th century ex-voto, dated 1871 in lower right, is dedicated to Our Lord of Labors, the Cristo shown in upper left. According to the written testemonial, Ma. Teresa de J. Sanchez was arriving in Coixtlahuaca around eight in the evening , but the ravine was flooded with people and horses. Finding themselves in great danger, 'Esta Imagen' (the Cristo in upper left) was invoked and the people were saved. In the year of 1871.
