A large and impressive late 19th century hand carved wooden horse with cast bronze ears, relief carved bridle and a long flowing mane. The accomplished virtuoso responsible for creating this magnificent sculpture executed each and every detail with balance, finesse and precision; the elongated snout, the flaring nostrils and of course, the copious proportions, to name just a few of it's many interesting attributes.
Most likely an Equestrian tack shop fixture. Of Continental origin. Second half 19th century.
Condition: very minor wear, surface abrasions, scuff marks.
Dimensions: 30 inches long x 15 inches high x 13 inches wide.
