A finely crafted 18th century Continental refectory table. The solid oak top, raised on a carved apron and chamfered legs, is made from a massive hand hewn timber with a beaded and molded edge. The table top is rich in color and character with natural variations in the wood including burls, pinholes, grain patterns and surface patina. The legs are connected by a sturdy circumferential stretcher with mortise and tenon joinery, end brackets and ogee moldings. Circa 1700 - 1750.
Table seats eight to ten.
Dimensions: measures 96 inches long x 36 inches wide x 30.5 inches high.
Condition notes: in overall good condition. Sturdy.
