Raised on four bun feet, this late 18th / early 19th century wooden armada box from the Netherlands retains its original hand finished Prussian blue paint. The wood casing is iron mounted and studded on all six faces, including the underside, and the hand chased lock plate, in the form of a four point star, conceals the original working lock. Interior with multiple fabric and velvet lined cubbies, three in the lower section and eleven in the upper - their function and the contents of which they held remain an enigma..
Dimensions: notes: 8.5 inches long x 7 inches high x 6 inches deep./
Condition notes: in good, original condition.
