A pair of museum worthy 18th / early 19th century Spanish colonial valance draperies, each with gold and silver metallic threads, applique and elaborate brocades, all on a background of heavy russet colored velvet with metallic fringe. Each backed on a fine linen cloth and sewn together with curtain rod pockets.
Dimensions: each valance measures 46 inches long and hangs 17 inches to the end of the fringe.
Condition: lacking a few of the beads representing what millet. A few minor loose threads. Overall, for a piece of this age, the overall condition should be considered nothing short of excellent.
