A pair of exceedingly fine and rare late 18th / early 19th century Spanish colonial spurs from Mexico -- each with 2.25 inch diameter, six point rowels, silver inlaid heel-bands, silver inlaid shanks, together with large silver inlaid conchos and silver threaded piteado boot-straps. Heated over coal and hammered on an anvil, each spur was forged by the most skilled blacksmith of the period using the finest materials available. The purity of the silver is very high, estimated to be 950 or higher.

Dimensions: length is 6.25 inches. Heel-bands measure 3 inches wide (interior dimension). Overall height is 6.5 inches.
