Colonial Silver Stirrup
A late 18th century Spanish colonial silver box stirrup with cast silver conquistadors backed in burgundy velvet and surrounded by meticulously raised and chased trailing vines.
In honor of their friendship, this stirrup was gifted in 1977 by Spain's King Carlos I and Queen Sofia to the wife of then Peruvian Chancellor, Jose de la Puente Radbill. A typed, signed and dated letter to this effect, written by the Chancellor's daughter, is included with the stirrup.
Dimensions: 11.5 inches high x 9.5 inches wide x 7 inches deep.
