A fine and rare late 17th / early 18th century Spanish colonial silver 'naveta' (boat shaped incense burner) with a reticulated fence over the stern and a chased lid over the bow. The hull is finely chased with stylised foliate patterns -- all supported by a chased trumpet foot with node ring stem. Mexico. Circa 1675 - 1725.
Dimensions: 6.5 inches long x 3.5 inches wide x 5 inches high. Weighs 15.14 troy oz.
Condition: excellent, original. Unbroken. Unrestored. Good, natural age tarnished patina.
