A superb 18th century Spanish colonial silver charger. Circa 1750 - 1800. The predominant feature of this elegant charger is the purity of the silver together with the warm glow that it emits. The silver, 925 or higher, has a rich, luminous glow that can not be replicated. The other physical design attributes are a traditional scalloped edge, center / radius mark, and in this case, several burillada marks (zig-zag lines scratched in the silver to test silver content). Circa 1750 - 1800.
**The smaller silver accessories are shown for scale only and are not part of this listing.
