We are proud to be the custodian of this 'world class' 18th century Spanish colonial six panel arcon. Completely hand made by a master colonial craftsman, this red cedar arcon is heavily carved on five sides - resting upon the original cedar wood base. Backed in the original English felt, the hand forged iron escutcheon, a magnificent work of art in itself, is surrounded by swirling foliate motifs, chip carving and geometric motifs. The front and side panels are connected by intricately carved 'pato de gallo' dovetail joinery - arguably the most sophisticated and complex joint of all.
** Please note: other accessories are shown for scale only and are not part of this listing.
