A fantastic early 20th century ceramic 'tejon' mask (badger mask) from Michoacan - circa 1940. Low fired red terracotta / earthenware clay with hand painted white stripes over a jet black slip. This wonderful old ceramic mask was broken into many pieces. Clearly important to one of it's previous owners, it was lovingly reassembled - to be cherished by many future generations. An all around fantastic vintage Mexican mask.
** Please note: the 'torito' and 'mico' masks are shown for scale only and are not part of this listing.
Dimensions: the badger mask measures 12 inches long x 7 inches wide x 6 inches deep. The overall height on the display stand is 19 inches.
Condition: reassembled as seen in photos.
