A great early 20th century Guatemalan 'Patron' mask from the 'Patzcar' dance. Carved and polychrome painted wood with milky white paint (fair skin) and bright red spheres (sun burnt cheeks). Cedar-wood with excellent wear and surface patina. Circa 1930's / 1940's.
Dimensions: approximately 6.5 inches x 5 inches.
Condition: in excellent, original condition. Paint loss and wear commensurate with age and use.
