A good early 18th century polychrome painted secretary cabinet with deeply patinated olive green, sangria red exterior and a moss green interior. Two lower molded doors are surmounted by a hinged drop front concealing a fitted interior with four drawers, two hidden cubbies and a writing surface. The upper case features a molded cornice over matching ogee paneled doors. The iron hardware is original and the locks are in working order. Raised on short square legs. Flanders / Spanish Netherlands. Circa 1700.

Condition notes: in overall good, sturdy condition with original painted polychromy. Minor paint loss, scuffs, surface scratches.
