This early 20th-century ex-voto is dedicated to the Santo Nino de Atocha. According to the narrative, at 4 AM on the 29th day of February in the year of 1939, Antonio Sanchez, the son of Juan Sanchez Valdez, suffered a heart attack that pushed him to the brink of death. The Santo Nino de Atocha was invoked and he was saved. This retablo was presented in testimony of his parents' gratitude.
