A rare vintage Mexican helmet style 'Chapayeka' Maya ceremonial dance mask from the Yaqui people of Sonora in northern Mexico. Animal hair (most likely goat skin) with tufted leather ears, and painted wood lips, together with a colorful flowered garland. Circa 1960's / 1970's.
