A rare 19th century Mexican ex-voto on canvas. According to the legend in the lower quadrant, on August 29 in the year of 1853 Josefa Canales became very ill for a period of ten months, but after petitioning "La Preciosa Sangre de Cristo de Tezontepec y la Madre Santisima de los Delores,' she was saved and this retablo was dedicated to both as a testament of gratitude.

Condition is excellent with very little paint loss.
