This early 19th century carved and polychrome painted santo represents San Miguel Archangel, patron saint of warriors and soldiers. Saint Michael, leader of the forces of heaven in the triumph over the forces of evil, is usually depicted as he is here, as a winged archangel in battle attire. Nicely carved with original mirrored glass base and inset glass eyes.
Dimensions: 12.75 inches high.
Condition: lacking one swag on base.
